Static clouds
Under this tab are listed all the point clouds acquired with third parties systems (TLS, drone, other mobile systems). The static clouds have to be imported in Reconstructor first, preprocess and then transferred in the mapper as explained here.
In the images below a static cloud is imported from the Resources to the Project with the option of subsampling the original cloud. One a static cloud is in Project, it can be inserted in a Global Optimization.

If using static scans is planned and the merging of HERON Desktop projects is needed, remember that only the HERON Desktop projects are merged together and not the connected Reconstructor project. In this sense, it is suggested to merge HERON Desktop project before going to Reconstructor and import static scans.
